Who we are
Lanil and Ingrid Gunasekara are Senior Pastors and pioneers of the Living Way Church, Ryde which is a Foursquare Gospel Church of Australia based in Sydney, Australia. They have been in full time ministry for over 18 years in Australia and have served faithfully teaching and training the Church to do the work of the ministry. They recently planted a new Church in Melbourne which has a focus to reach out to young families.
As well as having a heart for the local Church, Ps Lanil has been appointed Area Supervisor for the Foursquare Church in Eastern Australia. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the L.I.F.E Bible College which is a ministry training centre where he has been able to exercise his strong Teaching Gift with clarity and boldness while operating in the Gifts of the Spirit.
Prior to this, Ps Lanil has served as an Advisor for the Women’s Aglow Ministry in Sydney, Australia, assisted in new Church Plants for the Foursquare Church and was President of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He was also an Associate Pastor in the headquarters Foursquare Church in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Ps Lanil has received accreditation by Dr. Jack Hayford at the Jack Hayford School of Pastoral Nurture which is a Leadership Advancement Program in America. He is also a qualified Electronics Engineer and was General Manager for a multi-national company managing over 1000 staff before the Lord called him to full time ministry and moved him to Australia.
Ps Ingrid is a gifted and inspiring speaker who combines humor and practical Bible teaching to touch people’s hearts in whatever season of life. With a strong prophetic edge, an ability to identify with young people, a mentoring lifestyle and a giving nature, she has helped disciple many in ministry.
Ps Lanil and Ps Ingrid have a heart for God and for people and as a result have traveled extensively in Australia, America, South America, Eastern Europe and Asia preaching and teaching God’s Word. They are a united family and have three adult children who are all serving God in unique ways.
